Project: Thompson Estate Winery

This project was designed by Castle Rock Logistics in conjunction with the client whose goal was to create a custom made wine processing facility whist matching up to an existing cellar door facility.
 
Thompson Estate is located on Harman’s South Road, within the Margaret River Wine Region.
 
Innovest Construction had previously built the Thompson Estate Cellar Door which was acclaimed with an excellence in precast concrete award at the 2005 South West Master Builders Awards.
 
The purpose made building houses a wine processing and fermentation cellar.


Project: Laurance Cellar

This Tuscan-style concrete tilt-up cellar door building includes a tasting room, class one commercial kitchen, barrel store, staff offices and amenities. It features extensive use of local materials including local jarrah, granite and limestone, as well as special products like clay barrel roof tiles imported from Italy and timber from the Woolamaloo wharves in Sydney.
 
The Laurance Cellar opened to the public late in September 2006, proving a spectacular addition to the South-West's wine and tourism attractions.

Project: BRL Hardy Wines
Location: Nannup WA

This project featured a massive 2,000 m2 Thermomass barrel store, production area, offices, tasting room and vintage cellar incorporated into the 7,000 tonnes winery. Construction methods were tilt-up concrete and steel frame.
 


Project: Millbrook Wines – Winery / Restaurant

Value:
Built on five levels to allow for gravity fed wine production Millbrook's distinctive architecture featured local stone and timber. The project included a restaurant and tasting area, cellar, Thermomass barrel store and a 500 tonnes winery sited by a man made lake.


Project: Howard Park Wines – Winery

Howard Park's striking contemporary architecture incoporates public tasting areas, boardroom and administration, Thermomass barrel stores and a 1500 tonnes winery.Two years after completion of the winery additional barrel storage was built by Innovest.

 

 


Project: Xanadu Wines – Winery & Restaurant

This 2,500 tonnes winery includes extensive restaurant and tasting areas, a gallery
Thermomass barrel storage, and a tank farm. Extensions were carried out to the original production areas and an Efftech Winery Wastewater Treatment System was installed.

This tilt-up concrete project included winery production areas, barrel storage and public tasting areas. The winery has a capacity of 1500 tonnes and was completed in 1997.


Project: Laurance Wines – Winery Store

The Laurance Winery Store draws on the rural architecture of southern France and Italy, with the use of recycled timbers and a rustic 'hand finished' texture applied to the tilt-up Thermomass walls. Thermomass is the concrete sandwich walling system used in this award-winning project to build a functional, energy efficient and aesthetic winery store.
 
Winner, MBA Excellence in Construction Awards 2003, for use of tilt-up or pre-cast concrete.


Project: Watershed Wines – Winery

The Watershed building cluster of cellar door, barrel store, restaurant/function centre and production areas is an award-winning example of Innovest's commercial and wine industry capabilities. The design of the winery buildings is visually referenced back to typical WA shearing and machinery sheds. The design includes corrugated roofs, columns of local stone and windows that run the entire length of the building.

Project: Thompson Estate - Tasting Room & Barrel Store

This 187m sqm Thermomass concrete tilt panel barrel store and tasting facility has an attractive and contemporary design which reflects the owners' quality focus. The construction features an 80m sqm concrete hardstand and barrel working area. Double glazed slot windows provide colourful glimpses of the surrounding vineyard.

A contract winery that was designed to crush 1000 tonnes in its first year, Flying Fish incorporates a Thermomass barrel store and a design that will allow an expansion to 5000 tonnes.


Project: Barossa Valley Estate – Winery Store

A 2000m2 barrel store with an external finish of sand blasted concrete panels with negative line relief. This building had to meet strict environmental guidelines and the aesthetic requirements of the local authority.

Project: Leeuwin Estate Wines – Winery Store

Innovest's first Thermomass project in 1997, this wine store was constructed with a textured limestone external finish to the walls and a steel roof. Controlled atmospheric testing for thermal efficiency was carried out in the store during its first year of operation. The results proved the superior performance of the Thermomass Building System for barrel storage.

Located at Karridale this project features a 500 tonnes winery, barrel store, public tasting
areas and a restaurant. The extensive use of colorbond steel and jarrah enhances the building's setting in a forest location.

Project: Rosily Wines – Winery

Designed to resemble the traditional style of southern Italy the project is a fine example of a boutique winery producing 300 tonnes capacity. The Thermomass walls have a rough sandstone finish and features such as deeply recessed timber windows and heavy jarrah doors contribute to the buildings appeal.

The Thermomass barrel store was designed to compliment the existing winery buildings at Cullen Wines. A concrete panel surface texture was created using gravel stone as the outer skin walls, with bush poles and heavy timber doors completing the rustic character of the building.
