Project: Wardanup Crescent Residence

This multi award winning home is located on a steeply sloping site with extensive views of the Indian Ocean to the west. Comprising a solid masonry core to the east and a framed and glazed pavilion to the west, it has a low roof pitch which follows the rake of the ground. The walls are a combination of renedered brickwork and studwork, clad with colorbond custom orb and glazing. Roofing is colorbond custom orb supported by steel structure. The floors are both concrete slab on ground and suspended concrete floors suported by bontek permanent framework.

This two-storey home of double brick and Colorbond roof construction features a contemporary design, unique insulated panel facias and the wide use of acratex paint finish.
 
An uninterupted flow between living areas , terraces and courtyards is enhanced by the inclusion of rendered masonry, white aluminium joinery, cedar and steel.
 
The house is smart-wired, featuring the computer driven CBUS electronic system.
 
Internal and external Donnybrook stone walls are a major feature of this home.
 
 


Project: Ooi Residence & Chalet

Designed by international architect Kerry Hill this residence and guest chalet won the 1998 RAIA Award of Merit for residential architecture. The contemporary design features rammed earth walls and a steel roof with internal finishes including Tasmanian Oak and polished concrete floors, terrazzo and Japenese sen timber.

Project: Gillett Residence Single
Location: Yallingup WA

This residence was designed to enjoy a northerly aspect with ocean views from all living areas and bedrooms. The selection of materials was made with low maintenance in mind, leading to the use of aluminium windows, glass, stainless steel fittings and durable textured paint finish.

Located amidst Peppermint trees across the road from the ocean, the essence of simplicity that permeates this home creates a beach house feel. Four defined private areas of the home are enriched by glazed and operable walls of screen and glass, facilitating the informal transparency of the terrace, living spaces and restful surroundings. Reflecting the muted tones of a beach environment, stone, glass, copper, steel and timber are used to create textural contrast in a sophisticated interaction of rustic and precise materials.

This two storey residence was designed with an east/west axis to capture the northerly aspect and panoramic views of Eagle Bay. Features of this home include full height glazing, Jarrah timber flooring, Colorbond Mini-Orb external cladding to the upper level and unpainted galvanized steel columns and beams.

This imposing modern beach home comprises concrete slab, concrete tilt-up walls, a structural steel roof and metal roofing. It enjoys unobstructed views to the Indian Ocean from its outstanding Prevelly location. 


Project: Wilyabrup Coast Home
Location: Wilyabrup, Margaret River, WA

This home commands one of the best ocean panoramas in the south-west. Constructed from solid rammed earth and colorbond roofing with a lightweight insulated roof panel, one of its greatest features is an entry wall of natural local limestone. Granite excavated from the property has been used in the interior and exterior fireplaces. Its rural setting demanded the use of alternative power and renewable energy sources.

This 350sqm contemporary reverse brick and colorbond veneer home features curved colorbond roofing and matching ceilings. The solar passive design offers shade from the northerly sun and rapid cooling from the south-westerly evening breeze. It has a feature limestone facade, Marri flooring throughout, expansive living and alfresco areas and a large kitchen filled with natural light.

A Tuscan style two story rendered brick and Italian tile residence, this home features an internal loggia and was secured by ornate wrought iron and brick fencing.

Constructed with colorbond steel throughout this two story property sited on a steep hillside was designed for effective fire resistance. Features include jarrah flooring, a curved roof with internal ceiling height of 4.5m and grounds comprising terraced gardens and a full size tennis court.
