CONCRETE CONCEPTS

Innovest Construction has become associated with excellence and invention in the medium of concrete construction. Taking its lead from contemporary architecture, Innovest has experimented with the physical properties of concrete to offer clients a range of finishes and forms.

Innovest Construction has developed skills in applying these techniques to large scale projects as well as individual features within the architecture.

The use of local stone set into the concrete tilt panel walls of Xanadu Winery in Margaret River, earned Innovest Construction an MBA award for Excellence in 2001. Innovest Construction won the same category concrete applications award in 2002 for the construction of its own commercial premises in WA.

Innovest Construction has developed many variations on the panel finish for Thermomass walls, including textures resembling limestone, coffee rock, granite and terrazzo. Different colours and surface patterns can be created to achieve a cool storage building that not only operates efficiently but also has aesthetic appeal.

In 2003, 2004 and 2005 Innovest Construction continued its concrete construction winning form at the MBA SW Excellence in Construction awards. These were for the Laurance barrel hall, Watershed Winery restaurant and Thompson Estate barrel and tastings room respectively.
